Cool Car

Meet "Cool Car" (or "Grandpa Car" depending on the day). It's an '05 Hyundai Santa Fe and the kids think it's the coolest thing since sliced bread. In no particular order, here are their favorite cool things about the car (keep in mind we have only driven a mini van for as long as they can remember):

 

1. They can roll their windows down...and it's NEVER too cold to roll them down...

2. All the doors open OUT (never try to open one of their doors. They'll have to close it and then open it again themselves)

3. The cargo cover in the back makes a really cool fort

4. Cup holders galore! Their favorites are the ones that fold out of the middle of the back seat. 

5. They can see AND touch Ellie

As for me and Jon, we are just SO happy to FINALLY be a 2 car family, we really didn't care what we got! But we do love it. Our favorite things, in no particular order are:

1. It's quiet (why is our van so LOUD???)
2. It doesn't shake on the freeway (why does our van shake on the freeway???  Maybe it's time for a new van now :)  ).
3. IT WAS PAID FOR IN CASH!!! Hooray for no car payments!
4. Jon can get to/from work quicker, so he actually has a chance of seeing Ellie before her 6 pm bedtime.
5. It has really low miles, so it should go for a LONG time.

We love our new baby and hope to keep it around for a good long while.
