Esther's Visit

I am WAY behind on blogging so here's a quick recap. My sister, Esther, came to visit on the 8th. She stayed with us for a couple days and then helped me drive to Idaho so I could come spend a couple weeks with my family.

We got to squeeze in a couple outings while she was there. The first day we headed into the city. We had a list of places to visit, but after a late start and trying to keep 3 kids under 3 happy, we didn't get very far. We made a quick stop at the cable car museum and then headed over to Alamo Square to see the Full House houses and play on the playground.

I love this city! I don't love walking up and down these crazy hills, but I do love the city.

The shoe garden in Alamo Square. The random mailbox was a hit.

The next day we went down to Santa Cruz with some friends of ours. Our first stop was the Mystery Spot. The kids had a blast sliding down the floor in the cabin.

Next we headed to the Santa Cruz boardwalk. The kids got to pick one ride and chose this whale ride.

Poor Matthew was so excited, but as soon as it started he just started bawling.

After rides, we went down to the beach. It was a beautiful day for the beach.

The next day, Friday, was our big travel day. We planned a stop at the Jelly Belly, which is conveniently right on our way. We met up with Jon's family and had a blast touring the factory.

The whole group...minus the creepy guy in the back...

After saying good bye we continued our 13 hour drive. It went MUCH better than I could have ever hoped...seriously one of the easiest drives to Idaho we've ever done. We got to Idaho around 4 in the morning and fell into our beds. We have been having such a fun time...more posts to come!
