But the whole day felt like House Hunters (for those of you who have seen the show on HGTV). For those who haven't, they have a couple looking to buy a house go look at 3 houses and then they choose one to buy. So, we played our own little House Hunters game, picked our top three, and then very quickly narrowed it down to one...a cute little duplex in Burlingame, just south of San Francisco. I really want this duplex. It is the cutest house with a gorgeous kitchen (with a dishwasher!), a huge basement (I'm thinking play room), and our own brand new washer and dryer! So, we've turned in our application and hopefully it works out. If not, it was still fun to have our own little House Hunters day.

House Hunters
We had a very successful house hunting day today. It was kind of fun to go look at some different apartments/duplexes/houses...and there were some really different ones. Like the "seperate in-law unit" that was really connected to the main house. We were walking through the apartment and I walked into a bedroom because the door was open. It was supposedly a 2 bedroom apartment and this was the 3rd bedroom I'd seen so I asked about it and the guy told me it was part of their house. Hmm...not sure how comfortable I'd be with that.

Week in Review
What a week! This has probably been one of the longest weeks of my life. It wasn't even bad, it just felt long. I was trying to remember yesterday how long ago Jon started work and I kept thinking it was 2 or 3 weeks ago. Then I realized that it really was just on Monday. After having him home all the time for the last month and a half, the days are so much longer now that he's gone 12 hours a day. But he loves his job and I am so grateful for that. He loves what he does and there are all sorts of fun perks to working there. It is so nice to have a husband who comes home happy because he loves what he does during the day. The only bummer is the commute...we really only live an hour from Dreamworks, but with traffic it takes 1 1/2-2 hours each way. I really want to move soon. It is so tempting to take our tax return that is supposed to pay off our credit card and use it to move out instead...but that is not an option. So, we'll do this for another month and enjoy not having to pay rent for now.
It has been a beautiful, warm, sunny week so me and Emma have been able to go outside a lot, which she loves, especially when the cats are outside. The longer I live here, the more determined I am to never live in a cold place again.

She sat in the bucket for a long time playing with different toys. At one point she picked up the baby that's on the floor. She got one of the little barbies in her other hand and put it's head to the baby's mouth like a bottle. She was pretty proud of herself.

Somehow these were the ONLY pictures I got this week...I really need to be better. Anyway, it was just really funny because Emma had been doing puzzles and I ran upstairs for a minute. I came back down and she was sitting in the bucket of puppets. I don't know where she found the sunglasses but she managed to get them on right and she was having a conversation with the 2 barbies that she's holding.

How About Another Tag?
I thought I'd join the tag bandwagon since I haven't posted anything in a while so here goes...
10 years ago I was . . .
A shy, awkward teenager in my freshman year of high school at Rigby Junior High.
5 things on my to do list today . . .
1. Find housing that we can afford for us to go look at tomorrow.

4. Take a nap.
5. Plan Activity Day for Wednesday(I am one of the teachers for the 10-11 year old primary class)...yes I am a huge procrastinator. This should be done by now.
4 Things I would do if I became a billionare.
-Get out of debt
-GO ON VACATION
-Buy a house
-Invest
3 of my bad habits are. . .
1. wasting time on the computer
2. eating food just because it's there
3. procrastinating
5 places I have lived
-El Paso, Tx
-Rexburg, Id
-Idaho Falls, Id
-Provo, Ut
-Danville, Ca
5 jobs I have had
-Western Wats- phone surveyer then trainer

Rub a Dub Dub Three Girls in a Tub
Tonight Jon's sisters and Emma took a "super swimming suit bubble bath" in the jacuzzi tub. As sad as it is, this was Emma's very first bubble bath. But, she had a blast. They stayed in there for an hour and she laughed and splashed the entire time. Even falling face first in the water didn't stop her. It was a lot of fun to watch. I have a feeling this is going to become a regular occurence in our house.

Get to know my sweetheart
What is his name? Jonathan but he goes by Jon
How long have you been together? married 2 1/2 years
How long did you date? We hung out as friends who liked each other (so, unofficially dated for 8 months), officially dated for 1 month, and were engaged for 2 1/2 months.
How old his he? 25
Who eats more? When he remembers to eat, he definitely eats more, but I snack a lot more than he does.
Who said i love you first? He did, first in letters and notes then in person. I was a little slower.
Who is taller? He is...barely by a couple inches...
Who can sing better? Neither of us...although we still try. As long as Emma is our only audience we get by.
Who is smarter? We are both smart in completely different ways. He is very right brained and I am very left brained.
Who does the laundry? Me.
Who pays the bills? Me again. That stuff stresses him out but I actually kind of enjoy it.
Who sleeps on the right side? Me right now, but it just depends on which side of the bed is closer to the door since I get up with Emma.
Who mows the lawn? We've never had a lawn, but I sure hope that when we do he's planning on doing it.
Who cooks dinner? Me. If I don't cook, he doesn't eat.
Who drives? When we're together, I probably drive more. Once he's commuted all week, he's sick of driving and will usually ask me to.
Who is more stubborn? We each are stubborn in our own ways.
Who kissed who first? That depends on who you ask. He was giving me a hug and it looked like he was going to kiss me so I kissed back, but he says he wasn't planning on kissing me. It was just a hug.
Who asked who out first? He asked me to go ice skating.
Who proposed? Jon. He went all out to make it special and it was very nice.
Who has more friends? Hmm...neither of us have a ton of friends. He has more close friends though.
Who is more sensitive? We're both kind of sensitive in our own ways.
Who has more siblings? Me (I have 7 siblings, Jon has 5)
Who wears the pants in the family? Probably both of us, though I tend to take care of more household things (finances, etc). We try to make decisions together.
I tag whoever wants to share their story!

Birthday Fun
It's Official!
We have a job! Jon accepted his offer from Dreamworks yesterday and we are so excited about it. We decided to just forego the other interview because the job at Dreamworks is doing more of what he wants to be doing and it was a great offer. He starts Monday and will be working on Madagascar 2.
I know somebody asked what he'll be doing there, so I'll try and explain. I'm not totally sure myself. His position is in Character Effects, so he'll be making objects interact with the characters. For example, he might put hair or clothes on a character and make sure they move the right way with the character. He could also work with any object that the character interacts with in any way. It's kind of a broad job description...I'm not really sure how else to describe it.
We feel blessed to have gotten this job, especially since he hasn't graduated yet, and are excited to start this new phase of our lives.
